Our CommitmentBronchial asthma is a worldwide problem affecting hundreds of millions of individuals, both adults and children. The World Health Organization reports that in 2019 alone, an estimated 262 million people were affected by asthma which also caused 455,000 deaths, and these numbers continue to grow. Additionally, asthma is the most common cause of chronic disease among children, and is often under-diagnosed and under-treated in low- and middle-income countries. These conditions result in a very high degree of morbidity, loss of man-hours and school hours, and loss of millions of dollars every year. The morbidity due to asthma has been steadily increasing worldwide over the past decades, and there are several reasons of this rise in mortality.
Our commitment is to counter this dangerous trend by improving access to proper care for more people worldwide. We work towards achieving our commitment by: 1. Improving access to top-notch medical education for physicians, who in turn provide enhanced care and professional treatment to their patients; 2. Providing free and high-quality medical testing and care through our patented PRAANA charitable clinics; and 3. Supporting research and development to raise public awareness, as well as to improve professional training and technological applications. |
