White Coat Ceremony at AIIMS in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India, November 2022

Dr. PK Vedanthan was invited as the Guest of Honor at the ‘White Coat Ceremony’ on Monday, November 28, 2022 for the incoming medical students of the 2026 batch. Dr. Srinivas, Director of AIIMS Delhi, the premier medical institution in India, was the Chief guest. At the ceremony, 120 physician-students were inducted into the first-year MBBS.
The ceremony was conducted in the AIIMS auditorium and was attended by all the faculty, residents and fellows-in-training, as well as by the medical and nursing students. The function was conducted in a very solemn manner and ended with the National anthem, followed by high tea. |

Dr. PK Vedanthan delivered the coveted Dr Shivpuri oration at the Indian college of allergy and applied Immunology (ICAAICON2014) in Mysore on December 11th 2014. Dr Shivpuri is honored as the ‘Father of allergy in India’ due to his original and vast contributions to the young field both in the clinical and basic (aerobiology) fields. He established the ICAAI at Vallabhai Patel Chest institute in Delhi . The topic delivered by Dr. Vedanthan was titled : Past, Present and Future of allergy in India.
