Doctors Caring for Patients
Stop the Violence. Start Love & Compassion
Hello Volunteer,
This is one of the MOST important roles you will play to make or health facilities SAFE and EFFICIENT. We are facing a CRISIS in Doctor-Patient relationship in several parts of the globe. The latest SAD story has been the MURDER of a young female intern in an government hospital casualty (Emergency) room in the state of Kerala, India. This gruesome incident happened in the presence of other health attendants in action as well as a 'passive' security guard. There are NUMEROUS such instances of violent attacks on health professionals in different parts of India. This basically is the 'tip of the iceberg' covering a huge ocean of discontent, anger and loss of confidence in the healing profession.
We need volunteers to take up this cause and initiate proactive and interactive steps to educate the patients, their families, the health providers, and society in general. We need to instill love and confidence that has basically 'evaporated' over the years recently. This will be a huge campaign at all levels: individual, groups, institutions, communities and society in general.
We will need volunteers, funds, space and over all support to achieve our goals.
Best wishes to you all.
